It Starts

with an idea, four prototypes, and a garage

Paul Curtis has always been deeply connected to the medical world. As a recipient of groundbreaking medical treatments, he saw firsthand the benefits of innovative technologies. This passion led him to Purdue University, where he earned degrees in Biomedical and Computer Engineering.

Encouraged by his father, an anesthesiologist, Paul developed a keen interest in medical simulation. While pursuing a graduate degree, he worked as a simulation technician at Indiana University, gaining extensive experience across various disciplines. This role inspired him to create the ECMO simulator, EigenFlow.

Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, Paul refined his ideas through multiple prototypes. His dedication culminated in the creation of CLR where he is excited to introduce a device that makes ECMO simulation more realistic than ever before.

PAUL CURTIS

FOUNDER - CEO

A graduate of Purdue University, Paul was drawn to the allure of Silicon Valley and its legendary garage startups. However, he soon realized that innovation could happen anywhere. Inspired by this, he founded CLR in his parents’ garage. Today, Paul leads the charge in advancing medical simulation, managing and directing the CLR's future vision.
